Most people have heard of, and many have visited world heritage sites. However, a majority remain unaware of the concept behind the UNESCO World Heritage programme. In her talk, Johanna Pelikan explores a range of selected world heritage sites from the UK, Germany, and the English-speaking world to illuminate the history, challenges, and potential of UNESCO’s World Heritage initiative.
