This lecture takes as its starting point the major exhibition \u201eEntangled Pasts, 1768-now: art, colonialism and change<\/a>\u201c held at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 2024. Dr. Esther Chadwick will review the exhibition\u2019s contents, aims and guiding curatorial principles as well as its methodological challenges, while reflecting on the Academy\u2019s various historical relationships to the institution of transatlantic slavery.<\/p>\n
